In ancient Egypt, pyramids were built for the burial of the pharaohs who ruled the country. Each ihram was intended for the burial of only one ruler. According to the frivolous beliefs of the pharaohs, the pyramids were built in the form of stepped pyramids so that their souls could climb the stairs to the gods they supposedly invented. The construction of Eram was begun during the reign of the pharaoh. People were buried around the pyramids. There are hundreds of pyramids in different parts of Egypt. The largest and most famous pyramids are the pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Meeker, located in Giza, near Cairo, the capital of modern Egypt, which in ancient times were considered one of the seven wonders of the world. Each pyramid is named after the pharaoh who built it.
